Haiti is the United States' most enduring monument to racism, terrorism, and domination. From it's beginning as the first Black Slave Republic (1804) when Thomas Jefferson said, "That disease (the idea that slaves can be free) must be kept on that island", the U.S has sided with the slave owners of the world, persecuted Haiti, drained her wealth, and to this day is guilty of attempting to squash its democracy where the majority poor have rights.

Human Rights Accompaniment In Haiti- Hurah, Inc. aids Haitian non-partisan, non-violent human rights advocates to help the most poor to gain their basic rights. We provide money for communication, transportation, grassroots groups and we recruit volunteer accompaniers to be with these Haitians in the streets, the prisons, the courts and centers of power.

Think about helping this poorest country in the Western Hemisphere where human rights advocates are few.
